I was a Lead Environment Artist on the outsourcing team during initial development and for some time during live service. I oversaw three to five other artists depending on development needs at the time. I approved art and helped with artist workflows to become more efficient while achieving higher quality. The game had a style switch mid production and I helped develop the workflows we used to rapidly transition "old" assets to the new style and to consistently create assets in line with the new style guide.
I created nearly every asset used in the chosen environments above, though I contributed to well over a dozen. As we progressed through development and the entire team became more comfortable with the style, I was able to push texture efficiency. For example, the entire junkyard planet environment - minus the hut and ground texture - was created using a single 512 x 512. As a team we created a stunning amount of content all while keeping open, honest, and constructive dialogue with the client.
Not shown: I also had the pleasure of working on a multitude of ships for the now released ship-based combat mode in the game. I was responsible for iconic ships like the Naboo starfighter and various Jedi starfighters including Anakin’s. I also did work on several of the capital ships.
